<p>Adding fats to your diet is essential if you want to live a healthy lifestyle that results in feeling and looking great, but it has to be the right kind of fats. Essential fatty acids fall within this category and are a crucially important addition to anyone&#8217;s diet.  </p>
<p>Omega-3 essential fatty acids are made up of two components: DHA (which stands for docosahexaenoic acid) and EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid).  </p>
<p>The best source of DHA and EPA are fish, especially salmon, seaweed, shellfish and algae. Furthermore, you can also get omega-3&#8217;s from unrefined whole grains, dark; leafy greens and certain nuts and seeds like walnuts, flaxseeds and pumpkin seeds. This second group contains ALA (alpha linolenic acid) which your body then converts to EPA and DHA.  </p>
<p>Your best bet, however, is to get your omega-3&#8217;s from seafood because your body converts only about 15 percent of dietary ALA to EPA and much less to DHA.  </p>
<p>What do you do if you don&#8217;t like, and absolutely refuse to eat, seafood?  Well, fortunately you can get omega-3&#8217;s in capsule form. Not everyone&#8217;s stomach can handle these capsules, but try them out for one month. It&#8217;s an extremely convenient way to add omega-3&#8217;s to your diet.  </p>
<p>When purchasing omega-3&#8217;s in pill form, you&#8217;ll notice some products also contain the other two components of essential fatty acids: omega-6 and omega-9. Stick with the products that contain only high amounts of omega-3&#8217;s. Most people already get high amounts of these two fatty acids from their diet, and it&#8217;s this lack of omega-3&#8217;s that is potentially the culprit behind many health problems today.  </p>

<p>You do not only exercise the body, you also exercise your mind with the breathing concentration needed to complete your pilates abs exercises. By making the whole body tighter pilates would be the perfect exercise for someone who wants to tone up those abs. </p>
<p>There are several different pilates abs exercises such as, plank. This is when you are in the push up position and you are using your elbows to support your body weight. You then contract your abs holding this position for 30 to 60 seconds and repeat as many times as possible. </p>
<p>There is also the 100s position, in which you lie flat on your back with your legs together and straight. Lifting your head and shoulders off the ground you pull in your abs. You then lower your legs as close as possible to the ground  while keeping your back on the ground. Inhale and exhale for 5 seconds each time and then repeat one hundred times. </p>
<p>Most fitness programs and people teach you the more you do the better it is, however pilates teaches you that the quality of each movement is much better than quantity. So, for example instead of doing 50 leg raises, opting to do 20 reps would be better because you get tired less quickly. You can then focus on holding every move and maintaining the quality of it instead of just powering through 50 and getting it over with. </p>
<p>There are many different pilates abs exercise videos available on the market to show the exercises in action, however you should always consult your physician before you choose to begin any new exercise program. </p>

<p>Marigold (Calendula Officinalis) is one of the most wonderful, and probably underestimated herbal remedies available. Skin inflammation, bruising, strains, cuts and wounds,minor burns and scalds,skin ulcers, all are healed safely and quickly with Marigold flower ointment or lotion, or, in the case of muscle-strains, with warm herbal poltices. For internal use, Marigold, taken as a tea or herbal tincture has excellent results with duodenal or gastric ulcers,indigestion, (if the stomach is very sensitive, a tea may be gentler to take than an alcohol-based tincture, or if a tincture is preferred, it is easy to &#8216;take the edge off&#8217; the small amount of alcohol by adding the dose to a herbal tea, for example, peppermint, spearmint or camomile) </p>

<p>It just isn’t necessary to throw money at products that you really do not need, and where you may even throw them away if you don’t finish the course. Worse, you could make it to the finish line, get slim and then pile on the pounds again so that you have to go through all the cost and discomfort of taking up the diet plan once more. </p>
<p>Diet Plans are probably the most uncomfortable way of losing excess fats, especially when you spend most of your time craving for those little luxuries you love so much! </p>
<p>The same applies to exercising. I am not sure where I read it, but for every 10 people that join a gym, only 3 continue their membership at the end of the first year. That is just 30%, and we all know how expensive gym fees are. </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Conflict in the workplace is inevitable.Â  Every manager needs to understand the steps that can be taken to minimize the occurrence of it.Â Â  The following action steps will not eliminate conflict, but it most definitely will minimize the amount of severity of it. </p>
<p>1. Be proactive instead of reactive.  </p>
<p>One morning when I got out of bed and turned toward the bathroom, I cut a tad too close to the bed.Â  My toe caught the leg of the footboard.Â  !#%*^%$#*!.Â  Once the hollering and jumping around was over, I had a choice to make.Â  I could feel very sorry for myself and climb back into bed.Â  (Not a bad choice, but not particularly productive)Â  Instead, I chose to chalk it up as an uncontrollable albeit unfortunate event and hobble on with my day. </p>
<p>Every day, you make decisions.Â  Some like deciding to hobble on to work are minor.Â  Other decisions influence the day significantly or may transform your life.Â  Your daily decisions generally fall into two categories: </p>
<p>Let me give you a familiar example of the first choice.Â  Think about the time a rude motorist cut you off on the freeway.Â  Perhaps you blew the horn, uttered a few choice phrases or banged on the steering wheel.Â  Now take a mental step back and remember how your body actually felt.Â  Your blood pressure rose and your muscles tensed.Â  Maybe your stomach lurched.Â  Did the rude person cause your anger?Â  Not really.Â  Did you permit your reactions to the rudeness through your own choice?Â  Sure.Â  Here was an incident you had no control over.Â  You allowed circumstances to dictate your undesired behavior.Â  Yet you did have control over your response to this event.Â  Remember:Â  The person you allow to anger you, controls you. </p>
<p>Now letâ??s apply the second choice of maintaining control of circumstances you can change to the work environment.Â  Think about managers you know.Â  Some of them spend much of their time putting out fires, running from one dilemma to the next.Â  These managers have little time to spare and always seem to be playing catch up.Â  They are reacting to their world.Â  Other managers handle workâ??s hiccups with grace and efficiency.Â  These managers get more accomplished and actually have time to plan ahead and mentor employees.Â  They are taking a proactive attitude in their world. </p>
<p>How much time do you spend planning your work?Â  When you make a decision do you envision possible obstacles, which could slow down implementation?Â  How much of your budget have you set aside for training your people?Â  Do you think long range?Â  If the answers to these questions are none, never or no, it will be helpful to spend more time preparing and planning.Â  If you find yourself spending too much time with fire extinguishers, consider becoming more proactive and plan ahead. </p>
<p>I had difficulty coping with my teenage son.Â  It seemed at times he went out of his way to â??push my buttons.Â  Consequently, I figuratively carried a big stick.Â  I nagged my son about his behavior from early in the morning until bedtime.Â  But the harder I pushedâ?¦ the more issues arose that seemed to need pushing. </p>
<p>My wife compared my behavior to a national superpower using nuclear bombs to handle every conflict.Â  She pointed out much of the behavior I blasted was what she called, â??kid stuff.â?Â  Kid stuff did not warrant nuclear devastation, but rather a measured response. </p>
<p>This is a lesson every successful manager has learned.Â  People are human.Â  Humans make mistakes.Â  Most mistakes cause minor consequence to the company.Â  If the issue is petty, the response should be a corrective action without undue emotion.Â  Asking the employee in a neutral tone how the mistake happened is one way to explore better approaches.Â  Sometimes instruction is needed or simply a reminder of existing procedures. </p>
<p>Occasionally a mistake creates serious problems for the business.Â  You may be angry because the difficulty could have been avoided.Â  It is very important your anger at the situation does not become an out of proportion personal attack on the employee responsible.Â  People tend to respond in kind to us.Â  It is appropriate to express your anger or frustration at a situation, but not at the individual.Â  It is much more effective to make the employee your ally in seeking to resolve and prevent a recurrence. </p>
<p>To foster effective working relationships, be slow to anger.Â  Treat minor incidents with the lack of emotional content they deserve.Â  If a major mistake causes you frustration, do not vent your anger at the individual employee.Â  And when an employee reacts with anger to a managerial intervention, do not respond in kind. </p>
<p>Ben Franklin wrote in his autobiography how, in his younger years, he frequently corrected people publicly when they were wrong. Â What he found was although he was very logical and had facts on his side, he rarely persuaded anyone they were wrong.Â  To make things worse, he noticed many of these men held grudges against him for years.Â  While trying to help, he was making enemies. </p>
<p>In the business environment, managers who treat their employees like children will quickly learn Ben Franklinâ??s lesson.Â  It is not effective to simply point out employee errors.Â  Adults have choices (even if they are employees!).Â  Employees who make mistakes are acting willfully.Â  They may not appreciate the effect of their behavior, but in the vast majority of cases they are acting in good faith.Â  It is the cause and effect connection that has not been made. </p>
<p>Your role as manager is to help employees see how their behaviors have created problems without treating them like children.Â  Your end objective is to have employees make correct choices the next time.Â  This is best accomplished by approaching the discussion indirectly.Â  A good technique is to ask in a non-judgmental manner, â??What happened?â?Â  Allow employees to discover how their actions contributed to the mistakes. </p>
<p>Ben Franklin learned from his mistakes and developed a number of skills from which we can learn.Â  For instance, when someone stated an opinion that was in error, Mr. Franklin began responding with phrases such as, â??In many cases, I would probably feel the same as you about this.Â  However, if the facts of the situation were differentâ?¦â? He found people were more open to discussion and more receptive to his input when he applied this indirect approach. </p>
<p>Learn and implement these three not so easy steps through practice.Â  Evaluate your responses to conflict and think about what you might have done differently.Â  With time you will become the type of manager who handles conflict effectively and experiences less of it. </p>

More and more people are now into controlling their weights because of the hazards that obesity brings to their overall health and wellp-being. One of the most common forms of controlling weight these days is the aerobic exercise. It will also improve overall health. Aerobics could help in pumping more oxygen into the blood vessels, which can increase metabolism and burn more fat and calories. Aerobics literally means oxygen. Aerobic exercises are designed to increase oxygen intake. This practice would burn fat and improve health and fitness. </p>
<p>According to studies, about 300,000 adult deaths in the United States can be attributed to the lack of physical activity and unhealthy eating habits. About two thirds of adults in the  U.S. are overweight, while about one-third of the adult population are obese. Adults are not the only ones suffering from weight problems. Children and teens with obesity have increased for the last years because of changes in lifestyle. </p>
<p>Would it be possible then to lose weight just by breathing alone? </p>
<p>Breathing is a crucial aspect in different kinds of exercises. In fact, in yoga, breathing properly is important. Breathing exercises could even remove stress and relax the body and mind. Breathing for weight loss is practiced by several aerobic breathing programs. Each program would have their own technique and their own advice. </p>
<p>However, it is important to understand that there is no weight loss program or pill that could produce dramatic results overnight. Obesity and being overweight cannot be resolved by aerobic breathing alone. Of course, proper diet and exercise is still crucial to battle the pounds away. Aerobic breathing can supplement these weight loss programs to acquire better results. </p>
<p>Most of us would only use about 20% of our lung capacity, while 70% of toxic elimination in our body happens when we breathe. Aerobic breathing helps our body maximize its potential. By breathing properly for about 20 minutes a day, you can bring drastic results in your health. </p>
<p>The guiding principle is that breathing can cleanse your body. It could help in flushing out waste, toxins and other pollutants from your body. Diaphragmatic deep breathing techniques could help in reducing cellulite, improve skin tone, blood circulation, digestion and even sleep. </p>
<p>With aerobic breathing, all you have to do is sit up straight, exhale from the lungs and inhale through the nose. Breathing should be able to stretch the lungs to its capacity. When exhaling, make sure to force out all the air in the lungs. Hold breathing for a while and then pull your stomach in. You can do these breathing exercises about 10 to 20 times. Some would prefer doing them before proceeding with any exercise training. </p>
<p>Everyone wants to lose weight. But it does not mean that you should start starving yourself and become a slave to exercise machines. In the end, losing weight would still mean eating fruits, vegetables and healthy food, exercising regularly and staying or maintaining a positive outlook of life. </p>
<p>Aerobic exercises such as walking, jogging, swimming, and skiing can be considered the easiest ways to do regular exercises every single day. However, people who are controlling weight should also seek professional help in doing this exercise since it may lead to prolonged hunger, depression, reduced sex drive, fatigue, irritability, fainting, sinus problems, muscle loss, rashes, bloodshot eyes, gallbladder diseases, and loose folds of skin. Aside from that, special medical cases also prohibit people from engaging in aerobic exercise especially when it is related to certain medical conditions. </p>
<p>Whenever we are including ourselves in aerobics and weight loss programs, setting realistic goals for us to accomplish would make it easier for us and at the same time, take weight loss according to our own phase. Breathing may not be the magic beans we’re looking for to look good, but it can definitely help us change into a new person. </p>
